Some wedding days simply leave you smiling from beginning to end, and this was one of them. The day in Salyer couldn't have been more beautiful. Warm sunshine, comfortable temperatures, and soft, dreamy light created the perfect setting for a celebration centered on faith, family, and the beginning of a new chapter together.
The wedding design struck the perfect balance between elegance and warmth. A timeless palette of soft sage greens, crisp whites, delicate pastel florals, and subtle gold accents gave the day an elevated, romantic feel without taking away from the natural beauty of the venue. Every detail felt intentional—from the carefully chosen décor to the handmade touches the bride lovingly created herself. Together, they reflected not only her beautiful vision but also the thought and care she poured into making the day feel personal.
The morning was filled with quiet anticipation as the bride prepared for the day ahead. Her hair was beautifully styled by Rosemary at @foilsbeauty before she stepped into her timeless gown from @starlet_bridal. Her bridesmaids looked elegant in dresses from @birdygrey, while the groom and his groomsmen wore classic attire from @eurekatuxedo. The stunning floral designs by @songlinstudio and @moonstone_in_bloom brought every space to life with lush greenery, soft white blooms, and delicate pastels that perfectly complemented the elegant color palette.
One of my favorite moments happened while Michelle was getting into her dress. Throughout the morning, her mom kept gently reminding her, "Don't cry—you'll ruin your makeup!" But when the moment finally came for her mom to button the back of the dress, it was her mom who could not hold back the tears any longer! They laughed through their tears, embraced one another, and shared one of those beautifully authentic mother-daughter moments that perfectly captured the depth of their relationship. It was joyful, emotional, and incredibly sweet.
Just a little later came another unforgettable moment during Michelle's first look with her dad. He's the kind of man who carries himself with quiet strength and rarely shows much emotion. But the instant he turned around and saw his daughter in her wedding dress, his composure melted away. Tears filled his eyes as he wrapped her in a hug, reminding everyone present that even the strongest fathers become tender when they see their little girl on her wedding day.
Their ceremony was a beautiful reflection of the foundation they are building their marriage upon. Officiated by Pastor Sumit, every part of the ceremony pointed back to their shared faith in Christ. One of the most meaningful moments was watching Michelle and Kolton take communion together as husband and wife—a quiet, reverent reminder that they desire Christ to remain at the center of everything they build together.
If Michelle's dad had surprised everyone with his tears, Kolton wasn't far behind. Like his future father-in-law, he had spent the day with a calm, steady expression. But as Michelle began walking down the aisle, all of that melted away. Watching him quietly reach into his pocket, pull out a tissue, and wipe away tears as he saw his bride for the first time was one of the sweetest moments of the entire day. It was impossible not to tear up watching the love, gratitude, and admiration written all over his face.
Following the ceremony, guests gathered for an incredible meal prepared by @motherscookingexperience, followed by a beautiful cake from @ramonesbakery. The reception was filled with heartfelt toasts from dear friends whose words had everyone alternating between laughter and tears. Their stories painted such a beautiful picture of Michelle and Kolton's character, their friendship, and the incredible community surrounding them.

From the emotional first looks and Christ-centered ceremony to the thoughtfully handcrafted details, heartfelt speeches, and joyful celebration, every part of the day reflected who Michelle and Kolton are.
