Scott and Dakota’s ELOPEMENT-styled shoot in the Redwoods
Scott and Dakota began their marriage with a small, intimate ceremony in Arizona. Just five days later, they traveled to Humboldt County to create the kind of images they had been dreaming about—towering redwoods, soft light, and space to slow down and soak it all in.
They slipped back into their wedding attire and exchanged their vows again beneath the trees. They wanted veil shots drifting through the forest, hiking shoes peeking out beneath their formalwear, and moments that felt entirely their own.
For part two, we headed to a nearby beach for golden hour. There, they shared a glass of champagne as the sun dipped low, the light and ocean breeze giving the day an unforgettable ending.
Their two-year-old daughter joined in many of the photos, playing alongside my own daughter and filling the day with joy and laughter. It allowed Scott and Dakota to fully be present while still including their little girl in such a meaningful way.
It couldn’t have been more perfect.
