Elopement in Trinidad
I could not have been more thrilled to photograph a Lord of the Rings-inspired elopement on the Northern California coast. Every detail was thoughtfully curated—the bride’s necklace, a custom-designed gown with flowing draped sleeves, soft lantern light, and a delicate hair veil that felt timeless and otherworldly.
Humboldt showed off in full form. Sunshine shifted into wind, deep dark clouds, then rain, before settling into a glowing sunset that wrapped the day in drama. We began with a quiet first look at an incredible vista point in Sue-meg State Park, walked to Wedding Rock for an intimate ceremony, and ended the evening on the beach with champagne and golden hour light slipping into the horizon.
Elopements are deeply special to me. They create space for creativity, intention, and connection in a way traditional wedding days often can’t. The result is intimate, cinematic imagery—the kind you’ll want hanging on your walls for years to come.
Themed elopements? Fully, wholeheartedly recommended. 🤍
