Senior Photos in the Redwoods
Sofia came all the way from Sacramento with a clear vision for her senior photos—moody, whimsical, and a little less traditional. She chose the Humboldt redwoods and trusted me to bring it to life, which had me genuinely excited from the start.
She’s been involved in FFA, so incorporating meaningful props into her session was important to her. She also took a few years of floral design in high school, and the flowers she brought were her own creation—such a personal and beautiful touch. Her necklace, passed down from her grandma, added another layer of sentiment to the session.
We shot in between storms, with soft, overcast skies and just a sliver of sunlight breaking through at the perfect moment—and we made the most of it. We wandered the forest until we found a quiet creek tucked among the trees, one of those hidden spots you’d never notice unless you knew to look.
