I photographed a beautiful wedding at the Carlsbad Windmill by Wedgewood Weddings, and it was truly one of the most perfect wedding days. The weather could not have been better — not too hot, not too cold, with just enough clouds in the sky to create dimension and drama. Southern California showed up in the best way.
Calm and Joyful Getting Ready Moments
The morning felt peaceful and steady. Everyone encouraged one another, creating such a sweet atmosphere. There were tender hugs, final mirror touch-ups, and laughter filling the room. Those in-between moments always become some of my favorite images because they tell the real story of the day.
A Bluffside First Look in Carlsbad
One of the highlights was their first look at the nearby bluffs overlooking the coast. The ocean breeze, the soft cloud cover, and the anticipation made it unforgettable. He was completely captivated when he saw her. And she truly was stunning. These are the moments I live for as a photographer — authentic emotion, no rush, just the two of them taking it all in.

Heartfelt Ceremony at Carlsbad Windmill
When we returned, it was time for the ceremony at Wedgewood Weddings Carlsbad. They exchanged heartfelt vows, and you could feel the emotion in every word. After the “I do,” they walked back down the aisle, sealed it with a dip kiss, and then he scooped her up in the sweetest embrace.
Sunset Portraits Just in Time
We snuck away again for sunset portraits and caught the light at exactly the right moment. The sky lit up in the most incredible way. That soft Southern California glow paired with just enough cloud cover created the dreamiest backdrop.
Cozy Reception and a Packed Dance Floor
Cocktail hour was full of excitement — guests were elated to celebrate with the bride and groom. Dinner felt intimate and warm. Then came the dances and heartfelt toasts.

The florals were stunning and thoughtfully designed. The coordinator executed the timeline flawlessly, keeping everything smooth and relaxed. And the DJ truly kept the celebration upbeat all night long.
The DJ kept the energy high, the dance floor stayed full, and guests had a blast at the glitter station with fun sunglasses. It was the kind of reception where no one wanted to leave.
