This engagement session was at one of Northern California’s most iconic landmarks—the Carson Mansion. Known for its ornate Victorian architecture and unmistakable presence, the mansion adds an old-world romance that feels straight out of another era. Nearby, the Pink Lady stands in charming contrast, offering a softer, playful elegance that photographers and couples are endlessly drawn to. Together, they create a setting that feels both bold and romantic—perfect for an engagement session that leans into creativity and storytelling.
Choosing such an iconic location for an engagement session opened the door to so many imaginative possibilities. The Carson Mansion and the Pink Lady provided an ideal backdrop for our second session location, allowing us to fully embrace a vintage-inspired theme. A pearl white Cadillac set the tone, instantly transporting us back in time. A cute head scarf and a vintage camera added thoughtful detail, bringing personality and authenticity to every frame.
Incorporating vintage elements into this portion of the shoot encouraged playfulness and movement, while still maintaining a timeless, editorial feel. It was a reminder of how powerful a well-chosen location can be—when paired with intentional styling, it transforms an engagement session into something truly memorable and creatively fulfilling.
