A Dream Elopement in the redwoods| Grahm + Kelsey

Grahm and Kelsey traveled all the way from Texas with their four kids (ages 6 down to 2) for this incredibly meaningful day in the redwoods. After building a life together as a family, they wanted to officially tie the knot in a place that felt grounded, natural, and full of quiet beauty—somewhere they could slow down and simply be present with each other.

Their vision was never about anything overly posed. They wanted organic, honest moments—kids running, snuggling, exploring—woven naturally into the story of their wedding day in the Avenue of the Giants.

Kelsey wore a silk dress with an organza topper and soft mid-length sleeves—classic, vintage, and absolutely stunning in the forest light. Her hair fell all the way to her waist, and she moved through the day with such gentleness, often pausing to lean into her children when they brought her little flowers or reached for a hug. Graham wore a rich brown suit that fit perfectly with the earthy tones of the redwoods, grounding the entire look in something timeless and refined.

Their daughters added the most whimsical touch with delicate butterfly wings that felt right at home among the towering trees and spring growth. As the evening went on, those wings became a beautiful part of the story—catching movement, light, and laughter in a way that felt almost magical.

We spent about two hours together at Drury-Chaney Loop, surrounded by vibrant green sorrel and lush ferns fresh from spring. The forest floor felt alive, and everything about the setting invited us to slow down and stay present.

Then, as the light shifted into that perfect evening glow, we stepped quietly away for a few portraits of just Kelsey and Graham. The redwoods softened around them, the kids nearby, and everything aligned for one of those incredible, glowing moments you pray for. It turned into some of my favorite redwood portraits of the year.

A day rooted in travel, family, and intention—where Texas met the timeless stillness of the redwoods, and something truly beautiful unfolded.
